Why do you do all you do?

   So I have been thinking about this stuff for a while now,so I thought it wise to write it out,maybe then,I can stop thinking about it.

You may never be expecting me to write from this angle,I am even surprise that I am going to be writing from this point.. Lol

    So last week, Manchester United played the European League final and I was amazed that the match which Manchester lost to Villarreal, brought so much joy to people,okay that's not the problem,the problem was that this people were really excited,they were singing and rejoicing and I was hearing their song of jubilation from the house.. I don't know why this got to me,trust me it was beyond being a fan of the Manchester United, somehow that made me conscious of the fact that not everybody is our lives because they want to watch us succeed.

   One thing I hate to do is to sit and start thinking about people that hate me and I am not going to be doing that today but I will be talking to us instead,just as I spoke to myself that night.

 First of all,I will be asking us a question.

 

   Why are you in the life of that person you call a friend?

Are you in their life because you want to watch and help them succeed or you want to watch them fail?

Do you truly love them as you claim you do or you just want to be around them,so you can see their faults and use it against them.

1 Corinthians 13:3-8

[3]I may give away everything I have to help others, and I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing by doing all this if I don’t have love.

[4]Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud.

[5]Love is not rude, it is not selfish, and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it.

[6]Love is never happy when others do wrong, but it is always happy with the truth.

[7]Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits.

[8]Love will never end. But all those gifts will come to an end—even the gift of prophecy, the gift of speaking in different kinds of languages, and the gift of knowledge.

   Somehow as believers because we participate in some good deed,we think we love people genuinely but amazingly the Bible mentioned some good that you can do and die even in the process but it's quite unfortunate that you can do those good and still not love people.

   This write up is becoming hard for me because I am also writing to myself also.

     So do you truly love people?

We come into some people's life most times just so that we can get something from them,other times,we are just in their lives to truly see who they are,you just want to know their weaknesses because from afar, you've been seeing them perfect and no,you can't just accept them like that,you must see their weakest point,so that you can feel good about yourself that you are better than them but is that what true love is,is that what the God kind of love does?

  The reason I want us to check our hearts and answer these questions is because in this kingdom,you are actually working in vanity if all you do is out of love.

Imagine getting your skin burnt and deep down in your heart,you are not doing it in love and God isn't even recognizing what you are doing.

I want to urge us today to love truly.

It's not going to be easy because they are some people that don't deserve our love,the more we love them,the more they give us reasons not to love them but hey!don't stop because God is seeing all your deeds and you are going to be rewarded in eternity.

Don't stop loving

Set your heart right,if you haven't been loving truly. You can't continue doing all these good deeds with a wrong motives, you'd be wasting your time and resources.
