The chase

Our world today is a very busy one,we are always chasing something and most times it is never our creator.You maybe thinking,why do you need to chase God? Isn't he always chasing us?

The answer is Yes He is!

I want you to think about this for a moment....

Have you ever been in a relationship that you are the only one doing the pursuing? Do you ever experienced growth in such a relationship?I am sure a wise person will hastily opt out of such kind of relationship where you are all alone in your ship and it can really be boring.

   

   You see,we are all chasing something and that something is what is taking our time.We chase our careers,success.We chase relationships, approval and affirmation from people.We chase our dreams and even blessing instead of the Blesser.

The strange part of all these chasing is,we will always come up feeling empty because all that chasing leaves us tired and frustrated.

As youth,we see friends on social media and we feel the need to be engaged and married at a certain age or have a career at a particular age and when this does not happen, depression creeps in, anxiety takes place and we are left miserable.

        The Lord spoke to his Prophet Jeremiah saying "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart".

When we seek God,he finds us,He stops running and allows us catch him.Catching God is the greatest thing that can ever happen to a man,oh how I remembered the Joy I felt when I caught Him when I was 11 years old.Story for another day😊...

Do you want God's attention?then seek His Presence!

There is a game little children love playing,they will run and stop half way,expecting you to come get them and they burst into laughter when you catch them and love on them.

God wants us to chase Him,love on Him,laugh with Him and even cry with Him.

  Jacob lived all his life ignoring God but he got to a point in his life that he wrestled with God at that point,he went from ignoring God to wrestling with God and then chasing after God,he destroyed all his idols as some of us will be doing today.These idols for us could be our success,dreams, relationship and even ministries.

    

   God wants us to seek his face and not his hand.Dont chase chase your dreams,chase the God who gave you the dream.

Esther who was a queen,had a bigger purpose and it was the salvation of the Jewish race.Esther ran through rain,through storms and there was so much opposition against her.There were swords drawn to take her life,yet she was determined to die making her creator smile.

Perheps you are born for such a time as this, a perilous time as this and it is really hard for some of you to chase after your maker.

You are probably in a battle and you are running for your life then Run to God.

They were times I crawl to God and fight every step of the way with tears but I am not ashamed to crawl to the cross!

I am not ashamed to chase after a God who would go to the cross to die for me.

See, we may not fight well but we can trust in Him well.

We can go from ignoring God to wrestling with God and chasing after God.

It start with a relationship with Jesus Christ
