Dance in Your Desert

it was about 1:00 am,Dad was sick and rent was due,there was no money.It was a really terrible phase of my life,I was just 10 years and alot of stuff were happening,I always ran to church to kneel by the alter and pray,I didn't know much about God but I knew that, I had a Father in Heaven who cares so much for me.so, that fateful night,I got up from the bed and realized our house was filled with water,I saw the land lord outside,Dad was angry and big sis was ready to break a bone and there I went again,on my knees,took my Bible and opened psalm 23 as I read and cried( I was such a sweet little girl😂😂,this is funny to me right now).I got up and I was confident that God was in charged and indeed he was,I never slept on the Street.As funny or simple this may sound to you,it was a great desert for I and my family but those acts of kneeling and talking to God about everything gave me an unspeakable joy and boldness to face every Desert I experienced while growing

    Everybody go through a Desert experience,be it loss of loved ones,sicknesses,loss of jobs and alot of things but you must know that God designed the Desert journeyfor us to go through.

        Everyone God loved went through a desert experience. Moses stayed in the Desert for 40 years as an outcast,David ran in the Desert from Soul,The Israelites journeyed for 40 years in the desert,even Jesus reenacted the Desert journey by fasting 40 days while the Devil tempted Him.

God, in our journey through life, designed a phase called the "Desert phase".This phase is the most difficult phase in every life, these days feels like God is far and His ears had gone short but not so!

Everybody go through difficult times but the most important question to ask yourself is,

          What am I doing in my Desert?

You can decide to go back to Egypt,to a land of slavery and boundage like the children of Israel,who felt going back to Egypt was the best option when they faced the Red sea.How can you choose a life full of mysery over a glorious one,just because you are faced with a challenge.The day you choose bad over good,then you are afraid and God's spirit doesn't entertain fear that means you are most definitely not walking in the path of God

        One thing you must know is that God uses our Desert Journey to separate and sanctify us.With the way some of us act like we own the world,if God doesn't put some pot holes(problems) in our journey through life,we will forget that our sufficiency should be in God,so you must also know that,when troubles come,it doesn't always come to destroy us but to make us better,build our faith in God and separate us from the world because at that moment, you will realize that the world has nothing to offer,only Jesus has everything good to offer.

   You must also know that God will never leave us in our Desert,there is always a prepared blessing for us there.The Israelites got to the wilderness and found 12 Wells and over 40 palm trees,how did this came about?The well did not dug itself remember,that shows that,they were enjoying a prepared blessing,not just that,God journeyed with them as a pillar of cloud and fire.How wonderful this is.Do you see how caring your father is?

     The Israelites found shades in the palm tree and they rested.It doesn't matter how difficult the challenges you are facing right now looks, God can give you rest even in itwhen you decide to dance in your desert.You must learn to find your tambourine and dance.Worship God in your desert.Don't sit and complain all day like the children of Isreal.Believer you are not fighting for victory,you are fighting from victory because Jesus had overcome the world for you.Therefore even in the midst of the storm,dance! even though you've lost your dance,get it back by praying on your knees.That is how we win battles,that's how we emerge as conqurors.Nothing should steal your joy.

Job came out from his Desert better than the way he was before his Desert experience.He kept saying......"I know my redeemer liveth". His faith was never shaken.

Worship in the middle of your storm,pitch your tent and rest,yes,you can rest in your desert.You are not troubled,you are not running helter skelter looking for solution,for you know that your God is in charge.

     2020 has been like a Desert journey to some people,I know alot of people that has lost their loved ones,lost jobs and a lot of other losses but I urge you today, never allow the Devil steal your dance,dance out of the red Sea,allow God make something beautiful out of your life,allow Him give you rest,pitch your tent and rest,you won't stay there forever but while you are there,rest in the promises of God.
