The money was really small and she just have to work to get money to take care of herself and that's how she started Hawking meat around the street.
Anyone who asked her why she did that and heard it is because she want to be able to attend to her spiritual needs finds it really lame and stupid
Then there was another man who was very rich in the scripture and then He met Christ and after some hours,we saw the man returning everything he collected from people and also giving his properties to the poor
We also read about another rich young ruler that met Christ and the next instruction we heard Christ giving him was that,he should sell his property and give to the poor
How can Christainity automatically make you poor? I can imagine the Rich young ruler asking himself.
It is not new that so many people had dropped their profession to go into full time ministry.
I have heard of some bankers and Doctors who dropped their profession because they got an instruction to do so.
Jesus asked a profound question in the scripture,He says "What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul"
This is one very important question that open us to the truth that our soul means more to God than every other thing.
This is not me telling us that God don't want us to be rich as Christains, how can I forget that our God is one who gives us the power to get wealth?but we must know that what is more important is that we seek Christ deligently with all our heart and here is what He promises "All these things the gentiles seek after shall be yours"
Your duty as a Christain is to seek Christ and not wealth.
Most times the reason we don't get what we want is because we have not been seeking Him deligently enough. So when you wonder why the people in the world get rich, drive big cars and live large, you should know that, those guys seek after all those things, they can do anything to get wealth but as a follower of Christ, your seeking should be different.
You seek the father, while the father endue you with power to get wealth and let me tell us this one thing that even I don't like hearing.
Even if you die poor seeking the Lord,it is worth it.
Paul who studied law ended up becoming a tent maker,he made us realize how poor he was, they were poor to the extent that sometimes they lack the basic things in life- food, clothes and even water but they were never ashamed of their suffering.
Yes Jesus said that we are the salt of the earth but we are not just salt to season the earth,He didn't call us salt because all we will be giving to our world is a luxurious life or life filled with good things always but that we can preserve our world.
The reason we go through some hardship in life is so that we can birth some solution that our world will need.
When the wine finished in the wedding,Jesus whom no man noticed made provision of a new wine, sweeter than the finished wine.
The world may not need you now because you look like one that doesn't have anything to offer or maybe you don't even have anything physical to offer but you know what? the father is making something beautiful out of your situation.
You can't really understand how a hungry man feels if you have never been hungry.
Jesus who want us to love people as ourselves will want us to experience some things which will turn us into a great teacher in that aspect of life
So sometimes when you go through trials like Job,it is God preparing you for a greater assignment.
Right now we may not have what to eat the next day or even what to wear,we may still be squatting with friends but one thing you should do always is: fix your eyes and mind on Christ daily and every thing that the world is chasing after shall be given unto you.
Yes some people will say to you,Christainity made you poor but you must know that the prosperity of your soul is all that really matters.
Sitting with the father in eternity is more honourable than sitting with Kings on earth.
Having the life of the father is what makes you alive
The world may think Christains are poor people but being one with God makes you rich.
Being a follower of Christ didn't make you disadvantaged.
The sweetest thing on earth is aligning yourself to the will of the Father.Allowing the Father decide when you should have that car, house and anything you can ever imagine, in that way you will know that the good things you are enjoying at that moment won't turn sour in the future and even if it does,God can still make it sweet just like the story of Job because you've aligned yourself enough.
