The only time I ever got spanked by my dad was one faithful morning that I decided to misbehave with my food and I was really running late for school,it was actually strange to get spanked by my dad because that was the first time but even though,it was just a slap,it change some things about me.
From that day, I started eating very fast even till date, secondly,I hardly eat before going to school or going to any place in the morning,I just can't forget the slap but it is quite unfortunate that even though God has used His rod on so many of us over and over and over again,we are still sleeping comfortably on our bed,He has woken us up from our sleep so many times but whenever He wakes us up,that is when we will turn the other side, stretch our body and sleep the more but the truth is,the more we sleep,the more time we are losing and the less relevant we become.
Time is against us, therefore, it is time to wake up and do something substantial with our life.
Do not let the totality of your life depend on your certificate or Husband as women.
As women some of us have tied our self worth to the man we will be marrying in the future but your true weight,value or honour is what is left after the title MRS is removed from your life,if your biggest dream is to get married to a rich husband or a Great Man of God,then you need to add Value to your life.
We've clustered our lives with so many friends,not even friends that can push us into becoming that which the Lord has planned for us, we've surrended ourselves with friends that are not even going our direction in the journey of life and we are so confuse,that we've left our own place of assignment because we've been following them around
You must know that you are not on earth just to get married,give birth and cook delicious meals. Thank God for that but guess what? Even mad people,do all of that.
There are mad people who have given birth to twins and even more children,so giving birth alone is not an achievement.
Heaven won't rejoice because you were able to give birth to quadruplets.
Heaven won't give you a clapping ovation because you got married to a beautiful wife.
Your life should be about Impact and Relevance.
Sleeping men are always in danger. They cannot protect themselves or strike back. O Christian, if you are slumbering today then your life is in danger. Your status cannot be destroyed for your life is hidden in Christ and Christ in God, but you may lose your assurance, your usefulness, your zeal and much of the comforts of the gospel if you are asleep. You lie back and let TV images drift in front of your eyes; you surf the web; you flick the pages of that magazine. No effort is needed for anything; you may as well be asleep, and when the temptation comes you are ill prepared and unready and are caught like a mouse in a trap. You have been sleeping when you should have been awake. You plead your weakness. You say, “But I can’t help it. I make up my mind, but I fall again and again.” That is the mark of a sleeping Christian. David sauntered about on the roof of his palace; he was spiritually sleep walking; he was vulnerable to danger. O Spirit of the living God wake up the sleeper.
This article is actually for those that are already in the fold but you must not forget that the first can become the last,therefore you must continually take heed,lest you fall.
Arouse yourselves. The enemy is no less dangerous and no less busy today than he has ever been. When did the enemy come and sow tares in the wheat? It was while no one was watching, while men slept. All the work of ploughing and sowing and watering was over and then when they were relaxing thinking all was done,then he came and sow tares.
Alot has gone wrong in our world because we have been sleeping too much but now is the time to riseeeeee like an Edifice,don't just rise but keep going HIGHER and HIGHER
