The Saprophytic

The Saprophytic.

The word Saprophytic so much reminds me of Samson! How he took honey out of the carcass of a lion, it amazes me.

The most surprising thing is, that most Christians are like that. We go against our consecration code and feed off dead and decaying substances. Gaining nutrients from it! Quite pathetic I must say. 

But what exactly would make a Christian become a Saprophytic organism?  What exactly made Samson feed on a dead organism? 

Let me share a simple narrative of what I believe transpired. 

Samson was going somewhere and a young lion, from nowhere came up against him and roared at him. The spirit of God came upon him, right there and he ripped the lion into pieces, with his bare hands! Such violence and tenacity! 

He leaves there and returns on that same route, only to see the carcase (ruin of the lion) hosting a swarm of bees. He goes closer to see. He dips his hands into this unclean thing, the ruin of his prey, and takes out honey to taste. Then he feeds his parents out of it. 

Let's start with the parents. They didn't bother to ask where he got the honey from, to confirm its source. They weren't even discerning parents to begin with. They just took it! Quite a number of Christians are like this! They just take it! Whatever doctrine they're given, they take it! 

Our dear Samson, feeds on the ruin of a prey he defeated. He feeds of the nutrients of a corpse! Disgusting bah? Quite a number of Christians are like that. 

Some are spiritually insensitive that they can't detect that a doctrine presented to them is from an unclean and decaying source. Rather, they accept it naively and feed on it. Why? They're too lazy to seek, too tired to test the spirit and too discontented to say no! 

The others, are the distributors of the dead and decaying doctrines. 

Look at it this way. They are faced with a certain temptation or lust, the holy Spirit helps them gain tenacity to defeat it, and they become victorious! With no gratitude and regard for God, they happen to see the dead and decaying state of that opposition and choose to get closer and see! 

They see honey and pleasure in something they've defeated. Having no regard for God, themselves or their consecration, they choose to feed on the honey coming from a place of decay and deem it fit to share with whoever has seared their consciousness too. 

However you choose to see this, I pray the Holy Spirit gives you understanding. You can have a different insight to this, I chose to share this. 

Dear Christian, do not deprive pleasure from that which you've defeated.  You gained victory over fornication, do not take the honey in there and stay with masturbation. 

Dear Christian, in your journey the spirit of God is readily available to give you victory over that roaring lion, but do not get discontented to the point of feeding on its carcass! 

You gained an understanding of something, do not choose the pleasure in hearsay or heresy, because it satisfies you temporarily. 

Dear Christian, discern where that meal you're feeding on, came from. 

Do not be a Saprophyte!
