I could be playing games,while my data is on, automatically,my WhatsApp is running,of course,my music app is always working,then,there is my Google app that is also one of my favorite app,and then,there is Facebook and even my Bible,the worst part of it,is that,I can even be charging my phone while all these applications are working and i will still be complaining that my battery is not charging fast.
How will it charge fast,madam?
I am sure if my phone can speak,that's the question it will ask me.
I am tired,I have tried to be happy,I have used all the keys to happiness to unlock the door of happiness but it just wouldn't open.
I am tired of living,why is everyone around me gaining relevant in the society except me,don't I have a purpose of living too?
I once asked all of these questions and that year's birthday was the worse birthday I ever celebrated.
I was tired and frustrated,I was overwhelmed and I felt tired on the inside
I kept doing so many thing but it was obvious that I was just draining myself.
Like my phone battery,instead of getting filled with all that the HolyGhost brings to my life as He dwells in it,I was doing things that kept draining all that He was filling my life with.
Sometimes in the quest for purpose,all we go after are things that are vain.
All that motivate us is the the fame and the great name we will aquire when we start doing exploits or maybe you just want to be relevant because your age mate is doing exploits and everyone is celebrating him and because your motive is wrong,you will find yourself doing so many things without even doing the one thing that is needful,allowing the HolyGhost charge you.
The Apostles after getting commissioned didn't run out immediately,they waited.
I hate waiting,I won't even lie but you see,it is one thing to get commissioned,it is another thing to get empowered for the commission.
My phone has the ability to do all of those things I am trying to do with it but if I don't allow the battery to get charge fully,it won't serve me for long before the battery dies.
There is a place of waiting,it is in this place that you get equipped,it is in this place you get sharpen,it is in this place,you get to find what your purpose truly is,you won't have to live other people's life or walk their path,if you can wait on the Lord.
It is in the place of waiting that you will begin to see how unique you are,then you will find out that you don't need to be like anybody to gain relevance.
One thing I have come to realize is that,trying to be who are not is really draining,trying to fight the battle you are not taught to fight might end up killing you.
You have been programmed to spend some of your time on earth gaining power,getting filled and building capacity to fulfill all that have been written concerning you and in this season,all that is required of you is to stay yielded to the one who is working in you.
Take your hands off your life,stop running everywhere,stop doing so many things and just allow Him work in you.
It is not easy to just let your phone charge without operating it, especially when are not doing any other thing but you will definitely enjoy the phone more if its battery gets full.
Those plenty things you are trying to do now even when you know that the one who has called you haven't given you the go ahead to work yet, will get you drained.
That's why we have so many unfinished assignments in this kingdom.
If you want to finish well,allow the HolyGhost equip you.
Allow Him polish and sharpen you,that is when you will run and not faint.
Your happiness is tied to your yieldedness to the one who has called you.
Sit in God's presence and allow Him refresh you.
Stop running to things that will drain you.
