Stick with the plan

Setting goals is not about what I want to do with my life as much as it is about what God wants to do in and through my life.

Every year, many people set new life goals in January. I believe Christians should be goal-oriented also.
God is not a God of chaos.
He set goals and not just goals but also plans to achieve those goals. That's why nothing catches Him unaware. So as Christians, it is not sinful to set goals, and setting goals does not imply that you don't trust God.

Don't be surprised when you hear Christians say, setting goals is a worldly act, we might not even say it that plain but our habit towards setting goals, shows how careless we are and how unintentional we are about our lives.
You have no schedule, anybody can just call you anytime for parties or whatever and you'll never say "no" because you're always free. You have no schedules, make no plans for your day, and set no goals.
Some people make no plans or set goals and their reason is that they talk to God about everything everytime.
It's good to do what God tells you to do and also very good to tell Him about every little thing you want to do or better still, ask Him to make decisions such as whether or not to go to work or eat food but it is better to make plans as God leads you.

Most times, we ask God questions and even tell Him to make decisions for us but we still end up doing things that we feel are best and what seems right

Paul was one apostle that constantly made ministry plans, we also read about how Jesus planned on going through Samaria. The son of God made plans on earth, so why won't you make plans too?

While some people just want God to make every decision for them without setting goals, some other people set plans that they follow religiously, they are very rigid with their plans. Having an inflexible goal is just as wrong as setting no goals at all.

Setting goals is serious business. We should not be so anxious about life that we make rigid plans beyond our capacity to keep, nor should we be so lazy that we make no plans at all. The balance is found when we truly seek God and His plan and then step out in obedience to make our life goals a reality.

I know you have heard the statement, “If you aim at nothing you will hit it every time.” If you want to be successful, seek God’s plans and goals for your life.

Goal setting is a driving force into taking actions. You may never work.

Set goals this year but flexible goals
If God asks you to change the goals or plans, trust Him and be obedient. His plans for you are good and not of evil, to bring you to an expected end.
Allow God into your plans.

Have a great year
Happy new year
