over 20 years of living a wayward life, kyle came across a flier that really changed his mentality about God.He decided to give it a try,so he went to a church the next day.
He gave his life to Christ, attended Sunday and mid-week services faithfully,he stopped womanizing, got a decent job and changed his circle of friends TOTALLY.
Kyle was an extrovert to the core, but kyle seemed to have given up this nice temperament. He didn't have any friend, just his new circle of life: home-work-church.
He was doing great spiritually (so he thought), but he was actually sick psychologically and socially.
He no longer keep female with the fear that he might fall into fornication once more. But he still has some hidden sins;that no one knew about(but God did) kyle had been struggling with hatred and masturbation.
Some of us became like Kyle, the moment we say yes to Christ but does being born again stop us from being ordinary people?
Follow me on this short journey 😁
Man is created as a tripartite being,he has the body, soul and spirit but it is quite unfortunate that the moment we attain a certain dimension in God,we forget the "body"(Man)
Before I go further, let me clear this, this is not me encouraging us to feed "Self"
I had been to some gatherings and really don't know what they were talking about entirely but guess what?
They were just talking about some random things like politics and the happenings in our country.
It was obvious that I didn't know the happenings in my world, yet I want to be a *World Changer*
How can I change my world when I don't even know what needs to be changed?
When we look at the testimonies birthed by our fathers of faith,we feel this men were extraordinary men but that's not it_ this men were just ordinary men used to do extraordinary things.
You don't have to stop being sweet and approachable, you don't have to be frowning always to command respect from people.
You don't have to stop being social.
Few months back,I met some popular guys in the community and I was surprised that these guys are actually burning for God and with great principles than even some people that you just look at and know this one must be a church guy,I was surprise because our society had defined christains with some certain looks.
I hope this table that I am shaking isn't going to be misunderstood...Lord help me interpret this to my readers heart..
You must know that ordinary people have trails, you don't get immune of trails the moment you get born again.
Jesus didn't say we won't go through problems but what he promised us is His Peace.
So when you go through trouble as a believer,it is not because God is no longer with you.
Ordinary people have fears..The people God uses are ordinary people with ordinary fear.
You don't have to hide your fears.
Right till now,I still have fears anytime I am traveling,it is not because I haven't heard God say to me that I can never die by road accident but the fear is still there but instead of letting the fear linger for long,I talk to God about it.
You can talk to God about your fears instead of pretending to be brave.
Ordinary people have ordinary sins. I am not implying that we should tolerate sin in our life but you must know that, those who God use are redeemed sinners.
Sometimes the enemy get us thinking that we can't be used by God because are all mixture of both good and bad.
One minute we are in the church singing,Holy Holy,Holy and the next minutes,a bad thought just popped up in our heart but thank God,He uses us even while we are still growing.
You must not dwell in your sins instead, gradually grow in obedience to Christ.
You don't have to cut ties with family and friends because you got born again, you don't have to stop listening to the news,I mean how can you even know what to pray about when you don't know what is happening in your world.
You don't have to automatically become an introvert because you are now in God's fold, you have a lot of souls to catch up with out there.
Being a Christains doesn't mean your life should be centered on praying, studying and attending church meetings only.
You must also know that you are still in the world, you are not in some other planet and that is why Paul wrote that we must pray for those in authorities,he acknowledged that, there are those in authorities..
So you still have to submit and be accountable because they are people above you.
You must avoid troubles,Jesus who is God had to be hidden from Herod,Paul who was healing and raising the dead had to be placed in a basket,so he can escape when they plot his death,he didn't wait to call down fire from heaven on those plotting evil against him.
There are battles you need to avoid, you don't have to stand when you ought to run.
This is me,reminding us that We are still ordinary people!!!

I love this. I'm an extrovert to a level. At one point I was antisocial but coming to Christ, He began working on my within to regenerate that extrovert in me. That has been the one thing that draws ppl to me. That smiling, laughing, jovial person. It makes them wonder, how I do it. My point? Let God use every part of you
Even the flesh. Amazing article I must say.
That's right
Everything we are is important to God all we just need to do is allow God work in us.
